New Power Rankings:
They are raking and pitching really well. So what's there to hate about this team? It's going to be difficult to find until injuries start surfacing... George Springer is off to a slow start, but they're still winning even without him which is some scary stuff.
They're starting pitching has looked excellent. They're lineup looks even deeper than I thought it'd be. Bottom line is that they're a dangerous team. Bogaerts was off to an epic start but now finds him self out for 10-15 days so it'll be interesting to see how they do without their star shortstop... I'm also still keeping an eye on everyone in their bullpen not named Craig Kimbrel to see if they can pull their own weight.
Wow. This team looks good. I might be reaching a little bit this early in the season, but they have some serious talent and team chemistry. Zack Godley is looking like a legit ace, Archie Bradley and Boxberger have been lights out in the bullpen, and Goldschmidt hasn't been hitting well in all these wins... That's some scary stuff once Goldy starts rolling... And every game I watch for this team, it looks like they have the best team chemistry in the league which can go a long way in a baseball season.
Their bullpen has been uncharacteristic, and they've been one swing away from winning three games that they ended up losing... The Yankee lineup should end up hitting their baseball card and the bullpen will come around, the Yankee fans just have to be patient, which they haven't shown yet so far with Stanton...
My World Series favorites stumbled out of the gate. Not going to lie, they've had some ugly losses. But they haven't had a losing streak because they have a man called Corey Kluber who doesn't look human so far this season. They're still a really good team and will contend in the playoffs, but their age might be catching up faster then I thought it would.
The team that's always supposed to hit IS NOT hitting well. But Joe Maddon won't panic and neither will the Cubs. They'll let their talent and experience carry them and they'll be just fine.
Bryce Harper is pretty good... They've lost some close games that could've gone either way. It's just a matter of time until the Nationals find themselves on a solid winning streak in their division.
That's quite an entrance by Shohei Ohtani... But let's not forget how important Mike Trout's consistency is to this team. Mike Trout is and for the entire season, if healthy, will be the superstar for this team while Ohtani continues to grow as a baseball player. The Angels starting pitching and injury history still worries me, but they're off to a great start.
They're shoving it right in my face so far. Their pitching is healthy and dominant. From top to bottom they're hitting very well, too. Familia has been a rock in the bullpen to round it all up. But how long will this healthy and productive Mets team last?... You can take your chances on this team, but I'm not taking the bait!
Age is a b*tch... Especially the amount of innings this team has logged over their careers. It looks like maybe the innings thrown by Kershaw and Jansen are finally catching up, and the consistent production from their spread out lineup has disappeared... Can they turn it around in such a tough NL West division?
